Description The Project Manager will work with customers to provide overall coordination of the Energy Program, including software implementation process, and act as a single point of contact for inquiries and escalations. Ideal candidates will have a track record of successfully managing multiple parallel short-term projects while communicating project status and managing expectations both inside and outside of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer and internal teams during onboarding and implementation of EnerNOC’s software solutions.
  • Set appropriate customer expectations related to project deliverables.
  • Form and manage a project team, consisting of EnerNOC, the customer and our partners.
  • Set clear expectations with internal and external stakeholders regarding implementation methodology, timelines and activities required to complete projects.
  • Ensure timely and quality execution of statements of work and project deliverables.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate progress throughout each project.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues and escalations.
  • Manage change order and other project modifications.
  • Conduct risk management reviews.
  • Coordinate monthly project billing and forecast processes.
  • Lead project review meetings during implementation to ensure adequate completion of milestones; capture risks and lessons learned.
  • Successfully manage and respond to support inquiries and requests from internal customers.
  • Maintain a full understanding of contractual and regulatory issues relating to the utility, regional grid operator, our customers, and other parties.
  • Conduct risk assessment of strategic, technical, finance, political or business factors affecting the project. Formulate and take corrective actions to mitigate deviations to the program plans and alerts management of potential problems when appropriate.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:
  • BA/BS with analytical, quantitative, business, or technical focus
  • A minimum of five years of experience, specifically relating to Enterprise SaaS delivery, energy management, or other relevant experience
  • Experience developing and leading project teams to deliver successfully to metrics of quality, timeliness, budget and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced, forward moving environment
  • Understanding of basic energy management principles
  • Familiarity with computer networking and programming fundamentals
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative problem solving capability
  • Desire to learn new technologies
  • Ability to develop efficiency gains through process improvement and automation
  • Ability to formulate creative process improvements that will deliver real, lasting business value
  • Broad understanding of business considerations associated with the onboarding process
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building
  • Ability to travel up to 10% on an annual basis
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Education:
  • Master’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce fundamentals (reporting, dashboards, case workflows)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
