icon consulting.jpg Environmental Scientist, Tetra Tech. The selected candidate will help support environmental due diligence, compliance, stormwater and NEPA assessment efforts for projects in the upper Midwest. The ideal candidate is required to have demonstrated ability to successfully support complex and time sensitive projects, resolve issues in a timely manner, manage time well, work well in a team environment, proficiency with MS Office applications, be able to translate regulatory language into “plain English” terms to clearly communicate requirements to non-regulatory personnel, and have superior technical writing skills.

Requirements include a Bachelors degree in an environmental or natural science discipline preferred or related degree or certifications with relevant work 4-6 years of relevant environmental compliance work experience, one or more years of experience with stormwater plans; stream and wetland permitting, and CPESC and / or PE desired.

Environmental Affairs Department Intern, First Wind. The Environmental Affairs Department Intern will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks related to wildlife compliance, monitoring for the protection and management of endangered bird and bat species in Hawaii for First Wind’s operations in the state. The position will also see the intern performing collection and analysis of downed wildlife fatality data. Interns also have the opportunity to define a project or topic of study to research during the internship that aligns with the Habitat Conservation Plan that First Wind has designed to ensure adequate protection of the environment during their operations.

Environmental Chemist, CH2M Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level environmental professional to support ongoing environmental investigations and remedial activities at multiple facilities. The Environmental Chemist will be working with internal clients, field staff, and subcontractors (primarily laboratories and data validators) to coordinate field efforts from planning of field activities through delivery of analytical results from laboratory and data validator. The majority of the chemist’s time will be utilized on Navy CLEAN or Federal projects.
