Qualifications include coursework or experience background in the use of Excel spreadsheet models and technical analysis and market, and in developing formal written reports, as well as at least 6 months of relevant industry working experience.

Requires experience with lithium ion cell manufacturing, development, or analysis, quality control procedures, and analytical equipment such as SEM, EDX, ICP, GC-MS.

Biomass Internship, National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Students working in this area will conduct small-scale experiments involving biomass sample preparation, conducting biomass fast pyrolysis experiments, product analysis using a molecular beam mass spectrometer (MBMS), and multivariate analysis of the collected data for the estimation of relevant parameters. Must be enrolled as a full-time student (at least sophomore year) in a degree granting program, or graduated in the past 12 months from an accredited institution and have experience working in a laboratory setting, and successful demonstration of attention to detail with sample preparation and data analysis.

Staff Research Associate, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBL). The Staff Research Associate at LBL will be involved in the set-up, maintenance, operation, and optimization of biomass pretreatment processes. He/she will plan and execute projects and experiments for thermo-chemical and enzyme hydrolysis of biomass for generating fermentable sugars.
