Description The responsibilities of the Procurement Analyst include analyzing price trends, assessing market impact on future procurement activities, and continuously developing market knowledge of frequently purchased products. The procurement analyst will issue bids, draft contracts, and assist in managing relationships with key suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, and internal departments. 

Responsibilities 
  • Analyze price trends and assess their impact on future activities, continuously develop market knowledge, and assess suppliers based upon organizational key performance indicators
  • Conduct studies and spend analyses to determine new or better sources of supply for products, services or commodities within areas of assigned responsibility
  • Evaluate suppliers, products and services to obtain comparative information for use in developing proposals
  • Prepare and evaluate formal and informal bid and request for proposal packages for review and approval
  • Execute contractual obligations within delegated scope of responsibility and in accordance with Invenergy’s procurement policies
  • Manage supplier relationships and assist in building effective partnerships within areas of assigned responsibility
  • Perform continuous contract management and process improvement within sourcing scope
  • Train personnel as needed and support implementation of procurement processes across the business
  • Other duties or assignments as needed

Required Skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or related discipline is preferred
  • Strong ability to analyze data and interpret statistics
  • Proven and influential verbal and written communicator
  • Experience in project management and strategic problem solving
  • Strong commercial negotiator, with an understanding of the legal aspects of procurement
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills including exceptional attention to detail
