Graduate Training in Economics and Data Analytics for a Smart, Green World

Starting in fall 2015, the University of Wisconsin-Madison launches a new 10-month master’s degree for students who want to use their quantitative skills to promote energy and resource conservation.

Explosive growth in advanced technologies like smart meters and thermostats is creating new opportunities for conservation, along with “big data” to measure which initiatives work.

Consulting firms, utilities, regulators, and businesses promoting renewables need well-trained analysts for this emerging job market.

We designed REDA to help students satisfy their desire to work toward a low-carbon future while also earning a good living,” -- Prof. Bill Provencher, Program Director

REDA is the first professional training program of its kind, anywhere.
