Description
Cypress is seeking a candidate to lead community solar efforts across multiple markets. Qualified candidates will have experience leading customer acquisition and customer management relationships in retail energy or solar. 

Responsibilities 

The community solar lead will be responsible for growth and profitability of Cypress’ community solar business unit. The candidate will work with key members of the development team to guide strategy and partnerships. The candidate will also work closely with third-party partners including sales and marketing, back office software, customer care and operations. This role will require strong technical aptitude, exceptional analytical skills as well as strong communication skills. 

  • Develop community solar strategy from the ground up
  • Obtain organization buy-in for the strategy and ensure right capabilities are developed to execute strategy
  • Ensure optimal decision making that will drive profitability
  • Leverage end-to-end market understanding to drive a rigorous and quantitatively based view of product offerings and margins.
  • Develop and drive understanding around customer segmentation leading to specific pricing strategies
  • Work with team members to develop financial models and business cases to analyze new products and other business decisions.
  • Originate, build and manage third-party relationships to superior customer products and service
  • Price residential and commercial products for multiple channels, terms, products, promotions, and offerings including aggregations and auctions.
  • Lead creation of new products that will allow Cypress to differentiate itself in the marketplace and generate growth
Requirements 

  • Strong business acumen and commercial thinking.

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Able to build relationships and influence peers in various retail and wholesale groups to deliver results.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience leading community solar or retail energy organizations (both preferred).
  • Experience developing retail product offerings and customer acquisition strategies
  • MBA and Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business, accounting, engineering, economics, computer science, statistics.
  • Expert MS Excel, financial modeling skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Energetic, results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Effectively manage multiple relationships and drive new business opportunities
