The majority, if not all, of the graduate programs at the Colorado School of Mines provide opportunities for research and study in the field of renewable energy, but here are two we would like to highlight:

MS and PHD in Environmental Science and Engineering

MS in Materials Science

They also have remarkable options available for undergraduates. Check out the course descriptions for their Energy Minor.

The School of Mines emphasizes environmental stewardship in all its fields; this is apparent in many of their research areas.

 Solar Hydrogen

 H2 Conversion by Phototrophic Algae

 Fuel Cells

CSM also puts out an annual publication, Earth and the Environment to highlight ongoing research at their school and by alumni.
